Please note: The ReStores are now accepting applications for clients assisted by job coaches. Coaches must sign a Code of Conduct, and availability is dictated by the needs of the ReStore.

Volunteers must be at least 16 years old to serve in the ReStore. Volunteers under the age of 18 must have a parental waiver completed in order to volunteer.

Bring your volunteer group out to the ReStore! Volunteer groups typically help unload donated household items, organize and clean donations, place items on the sales floor, maintain the cleanliness & organization of the store, and assist customers with carry-outs after purchase.
Groups typically schedule 3-4 hour shifts between the hours of 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., Tuesdays-Saturdays.
Volunteers must be 16-years-old to volunteer; volunteers under 18 must have a parental waiver completed.
Next steps: Please complete the volunteer registration application and indicate your interest in bringing a group to volunteer. Once you’ve completed the registration, you will receive a link to our online volunteer calendar then designate yourself as the group leader and reserve a volunteer shift for your group. The front register staff are the first people a shopper sees at the ReStore. We’re looking for folks who like to interact with people throughout the day and feel comfortable running a cash register. Experience running a register is not required, just a desire to learn!
Training needed: volunteer orientation, on-site training
Time commitment: once per week
Shifts: Tuesday – Saturday, morning and afternoon (some shifts are currently full)
Location: Rock Hill & Lake Wylie ReStores
Background check is required
Join our dynamic, energetic team to help keep the ReStore running smoothly! Work with the managers, staff and other volunteers to manage one or more sections of the store, keep donations moving through our stock room, and get donated items priced and ready to hit the floor. You can also help keep store sections stocked and tidy, or assist with customer service by serving as a resource to shoppers on the sales floor.
Training needed: volunteer orientation, on-site training
Time commitment: once per week
Shifts: Tuesday – Saturday, morning and afternoon (times are flexible)
Location: Rock Hill & Lake Wylie ReStores
This position will include accepting donations directly from drop-off donors with an emphasis on what we accept and do not accept. Volunteers in this position would be responsible for maintaining a good relationship with both frequent and first-time donors. Staff will assist the volunteer in learning what comprises a “good” donation, and ample training will be provided.

Time commitment: once per week
Shifts: Tuesday – Saturday, morning and afternoon (times are flexible)
